Tell me and I will forget.

Teach me and I will remember.

Let me do it and I will learn it.

In our Academy of Virtual Molding you will learn how to use the software and how to operate your own virtual injection molding machine. We will show you how to operate it and put the finishing touches to your project.

Together with you, we will lay the foundation, go into details on the results and turn you into a simulation expert. With our Advanced Trainings we will take you even one step further. Find out about our training courses or search for the right training course directly in the Academy calendar and easily book a course now.

The right training for you

Requirements:

SIGMASOFT®License

Duration:

3 days

Content:

The basic training sets the foundation on your way to becoming a simulation expert. It is important to us that you not only learn how to use SIGMASOFT®, but that you fully understand how to use this virtual molding machine. We help you to learn how to use the software with concrete exercises or your own project data. In addition to basic explanations of the Graphical User Interface (GUI) and the different perspectives within the software, we help you to unlock the potential of your project. In hands-on exercises you will learn how to prepare geometry for simulation, create a mesh, set up process definition and visualization. In addition, we will give you hints on how to interpret your results correctly. Book your basic training now!

The right strategy makes your simulation more efficient and saves you time, ernergy and money. Together we will have look at the entire production cycle, from equipment sizing (quick estimation) to the optimization of serial production (detailed analysis). You will learn to use the tools of SIGMASOFT® in every process step and to use them efficiently. Based on a concrete example from practice, a systematic approach is developed to support your everyday simulation work. In the area of thermoplastics, for example, significantly more reliable statements can be made about the warpage behavior. The goal of this in-depth training is the targeted efficient use of the software with a perfect simulation strategy in any production step. This will save you time and money. You will learn the basics for the preparation and evaluation of DoEs (Design of Experiments) with SIGMASOFT®. Virtual DoE goes one step further than the Virtual Molding Technology. After determining degrees of freedom and defining the target, a possible mold can be simulated with the optimal configurations. Manual building of multiple simulations and their individual evaluation becomes obsolete. The correct process settings for your production are identified prior to tool design, saving you time and money. Learn all about our latest innovations and the latest software version to be ahead. To what extent does the injection molding process influence shrinkage and warpage of the component? Does it make sense to change the geometry of the cavity to compensate for the warpage? As a mold or product engineer, you have to ask yourself questions like these almost daily. Our Stress I Basic Training offers the chance to refresh and deepen your basic knowledge in this area. Warpage can be predicted using SIGMASOFT® and we will show you how. From the early design phase of the part to production, you will learn to evaluate these scenarios correctly and make the right decision with the help of SIGMASOFT®.

The Stress II Advanced training is the continuation of our one-day basic Stress I training and is aimed at SIGMASOFT® users who want to go one step further. If you are dealing with planning, design and implementation of parts and the corresponding tools, you will learn here how to get even more out of your virtual injection molding machine. We work through the complete development process of a component using an example from industry. A major aspect is the methodical approach to correctly evaluate shrinkage and warpage using SIGMASOFT®. We then discuss the possible and appropriate courses of action.

Have you ever thought about taking component costs into account as part of a simulation? Then you will find answers to your questions here in this training course.

Until now, the influence of various process parameters or geometric changes on previously defined targets was evaluated using a DoE. The new SIGMAecon tool makes it possible to take into account the resulting component costs depending on material costs, tool costs, production costs etc. Real values from the simulation can now be taken into account in the component calculation. The aim is to ensure a target-oriented compromise between costs and quality.

In this training course, you will learn how to use SIGMAecon correctly in order to link your cost calculation with your simulation results and combine them in a targeted manner. After this training, the perspective will be activated in SIGMASOFT®.
