Data is for us the basis on which to provide an excellent service. Our greatest asset however is the trust of our customers. Protecting customer data and using it only in a way that our customers expect us to, is our highest priority. Therefore the compliance with legal provisions concerning data protection is a matter of course for us. Furthermore it is important to us that you always know when we store which of your data and how we use it.

Data transmission and logging for internal and statistical purposes
When accessing our website, your internet browser automatically transmits data to our web server. These are among other things the date and time of access, the URL of the referring website, the retrieved file(s), the amount of sent data, browser type and version, operating system and your IP address. This data is stored separately from other data that you enter in the context of using our services. Normally it is not possible to map this data to a particular person. This data is analyzed for data security and statistical purposes and is then deleted. A combination of this data with other data sources will not be effected. No personal profiles or similar data will be created or processed.

Collection and statistical analysis of content-related data
Your visit to the SIGMA website is registered and evaluated for statistical purposes. The received data is made anonymous and stored and analyzed at SIGMA Engineering GmbH. A reference to your person cannot be established. IP addresses are only logged in shortened form. Under no circumstances will we pass the data on to third parties. The data will be deleted after evaluation.

YouTube

The SIGMA website may embed components (videos) from YouTube LLC, 901 Cherry Ave., San Bruno, CA 94066, USA, which is part of Google Inc., Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.

When you access a SIGMA web page with an embedded YouTube video, a connection to a server of YouTube will be established, and the corresponding content displayed in your web browser. SIGMA activates YouTube’s “privacy-enhanced mode” when embedding videos on its own website. According to YouTube, when using the “privacy-enhanced mode”, YouTube will only receive or store information about the SIGMA page you were using while watching the video when you start the video. If you are simultaneously signed in with your YouTube account, this information will also be registered in your YouTube account. Newsletter

Our website offers you the possibility to subscribe to our newsletter, which provides regular information about our products and services. To receive a newsletter, you need a current e-mail address. We will check whether you are the owner of this address as well as whether the recipient is authorized to receive the newsletter. With your newsletter registration, we will save your IP address, the time and the date of your registration (opt-in) as evidence of your registration and your approval.

By registering for our newsletter, you agree that your data and your use are automatically stored electronically through the newsletter tracking capabilities. We will not collect any other data. The collected information is exclusively used with reference to the delivery and use of the newsletter. Under no circumstances will we forward the data to third parties.

You may cancel your newsletter subscription at any time, either by clicking a link in the footer of the newsletter. With the cancellation of the newsletter subscription, your agreement with the aforementioned tracking is revoked. Changes to this privacy policy
SIGMA Engineering GmbH reserves the right to change their security and privacy practices at any time if this should be necessary. The privacy provisions of the Data Protection Act (Bundesdatenschutzgesetz) and the Telemedia Act (Telemediengesetz) of the Federal Republic of Germany apply for all data.
